The Central Coast Mariners Academy Boys teams this weekend are on the road to Bathurst to play the Western NSW Mariners teams in Round 9 of the News South Wales Boys Super Youth League.

With all Central Coast teams sitting either top of the table or close to it and Western Mariners on fourth in the Club Championship, the weekend ahead is sure to bring some exciting and close battles between the two Mariners teams. Games will be played at Alec Lamberton field on Saturday 19 May with the Grade 13 Boys starting off the day with the early 9am kick off. The final game of the day kicks off at 3pm with the Grade 18 Boys.

The Academy Grade 18 Boys have had another busy week with training coupled with a mid-week game in Sydney. The team played the New South Wales Institute of Sport Boys team led by new Sydney FC Coach, Ian Crook, on Thursday night at Valentine Sports Park. The Academy boys were up 1-0 at half time following a goal by Stuart Adams. Two goals to NSWIS in the second half saw the final score at 2-1 which the Coast boys can proudly say is the best result of any of the Super Youth League teams so far this season against the Institute.

On Saturday, the Boys 9, 10 and 11 Skills Acquisition Program teams head to Fairfield to play their Sydney South counterparts.

Sunday sees the Boys Skills Acquisition League Grade 11 and 12 Boys off to Mills Park to play Kuringai in their Round 10 Games. The Girls and Women’s Academy Premier League Teams are travelling to Manly to play their Round 9 games with kick offs at Cromer Park from 9am (12 Girls) to 3pm (First Grade Women).
