Central Coast Mariners Members, supporters and corporate partners have been invited to enjoy the company of Mariners guest player Mark Bosnich for the final time before the Qantas Socceroo icon completes his short stint on the Central Coast this coming Sunday, 19 October.
Bosnich will speak at an exclusive luncheon at the Admiral-s Quarters of the Central Coast Leagues Club prior to kick off of the Mariners- Round 8 Hyundai A-League match up against the Wellington Phoenix later that day and will be joined for a question and answer segment by Mariners Football Manager Lawrie McKinna.
Miss Universe Australia 2008, Laura Dundovic, will MC the event that will also include addresses from George Negus and a video tribute from Alan Jones AO, with proceedings kicking off at 12.30pm – two and a half hours before the Mariners- Trans Tasman clash against the Phoenix.
Several exclusive Bosnich-themed items will be auctioned throughout the lunch, including a limited edition signed and framed Bosnich goalkeeper jersey and gloves.
“While we will be hoping to build some form of future involvement between Mark and the Mariners, we-ve thoroughly enjoyed having Mark with us throughout the duration of his initial trial period and subsequent seven-round stay with the Mariners and this event, just prior to what will potentially be Mark-s final contribution to the Hyundai A-League this season, will be a fitting recognition of Mark-s time at the Mariners thus far,” said Mariners Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman.
“Players and characters of Mark ilk are so rare in football and all that have met Mark will tell you just how unique of a character he is – this luncheon provides everybody with a chance to experience one of the very special individuals to have ever played the game in Australia up close.”
Tickets to the Bye Bye Bosnich luncheon are $100 per person, with tables of ten selling for $1,000. The ticket price includes a two-course meal, all beverages and a reserved seat to the Mariners- clash against the Phoenix.
