The new Central Coast Mariners Academy (CCMA) First Grade team have continued their impressive start to the season with a 1-1 draw again APIA Leichhardt Tigers in their Round 2 match at Lambert Park on Sunday.
The draw follows an unlucky 2-1 loss to one of the competition favourites, Sydney Olympic, the previous week where both of Olympic’s goals came from the penalty spot.
It is the first time since 2005 that senior Central Coast teams have competed in the top tier NSW State League competition.
With Pluim Park in the latter stages of a major redevelopment all CCMA teams will play away from home for the first four rounds before playing their first match at Pluim Park against Blacktown City on Saturday 13 April.
