McBreen, along with former Mariners attacker Bernie Ibini, started for Gao Hongbo-s side in the goalless draw played at Changchun-s Development Area Stadium.
Elsewhere in Asia, ex Central Coast captain Alex Wilkinson continued his impressive form in defence for Jeonbuk Hyundai. Wilkinson played a full match as Jeonbuk scored three times in the last ten minutes to defeat Gangwon FC 4-1 at home.
In Switzerland, Oliver Bozanic scored the winner for FC Luzern as the men from the Swissporarena defeated FC Sion 1-0 at home. FC Luzern are second in the Swiss League standings behind BSC Young Boys.
