The Central Coast Mariners put five goals past Rydalmere FC at the Central Coast Mariners Centre of Excellence thanks to Trent Buhagiar & Matt Fletcher doubles along with a Jake McGing strike.
It was a goalless first half in the pre-season friendly but the Mariners came out firing in the second half to score five goals in quick succession.
The first goal came via an unlikely scorer in Jake McGing who broke in from the by-line and finished with ease to open the scoring in the 68th minute.
Trent Buhagiar stepped up to double the lead in less than 10 minutes after intercepting possession in Rydalmereās back third. Five minutes later Matt Fletcher picked the bottom right hand corner and his classy finish made it 3-0.
The Umina junior doubled his tally for the day in the 83rd minute with a strike from the top of the box to make it 4-0.
With minutes to go, the Mariners won a penalty and Fletcher stepped up to double his tally for the day and end the match 5-0 on the Central Coast. Ā
