The Central Coast Mariners can confirm that Head Coach Warren Moon will depart the Club at the conclusion of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025/26 season.
Moon arrived at the club as the interim Head Coach on the eve of the 2025/26 campaign and was appointed to the role on a permanent basis in early January for the remainder of the season.
Moon will continue to be in charge as the Mariners’ push to qualify for the Isuzu UTE A League Finals Series, before returning home to Brisbane for family reasons at the conclusion of the campaign.
Commenting on the news, Central Coast Mariners’ Sporting Director, Matt Simon said:
“We’d like to thank Warren for his contribution to the Central Coast Mariners over the past season.”
“Warren has sacrificed a lot to be living and working on the Coast away from his family, and we fully support his decision to return home and prioritise his family.”
“He, along with the playing group and staff, remain committed to finishing the season strongly, and we look forward to having our members and fans there to push the team on as we fight for a top six place.”
Moon said it had been a privilege to lead the Mariners.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Central Coast Mariners. I want to thank the squad, the club staff and the entire Central Coast community for welcoming me with open arms. I’m proud of what we’ve been building here and I have no doubt the future is bright for this great Club.”
“This was not an easy decision, but ultimately it’s the right one for my family and I. My focus now is on finishing the season as strongly as possible with this group of very talented players.”
The news comes as the Mariners’ men’s side prepares for their final home match of the regular season against Brisbane Roar tomorrow night at 7.35pm AEST. The Club encourages all members and fans to get to polytec Stadium to cheer on the team as they continue their push for a finals place, celebrate Redders’ 300th A-League match and to thank Warren for his hard word work and the positive impact he’s had on the Central Coast.
