Update on Central Coast Mariners’ Academy

To all players, coaches and parents

We wanted to write to provide an update on the Central Coast Mariners FC and the Club’s academy.

On Monday, the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), the operator of the A-Leagues, took over the management of the Central Coast Mariners FC on an interim basis while a sales process is completed.

The APL made this important decision to ensure stability and continuity for the Club, its players, staff, partners and fans, whilst in the middle of the 2025/26 season.

As you may be aware on Tuesday, the previous owner placed the two former Club entities into liquidation, one of which the Central Coast Mariners Academy sat within.

Please know we are working with the appointed liquidator to ensure the smooth transition of the Club, its operations and the very important Academy.

The APL has every intention of the Central Coast Mariners Academy continuing for season 2025/26. We appreciate the last few days have been unsettling and have inconvenienced many with season planning underway and school holiday clinics upcoming.

We want to reassure you all, we are working as quickly as possible to ensure the Academy is up and operating shortly. We will provide a further update with you all next week.

Regards,

Steve Rosich, APL CEO
