CENTRAL Coast Mariners travel to Launceston, Tasmania this week for Saturday-s round 16 Hyundai A-League test against Ange Postecoglou-s Melbourne Victory at Aurora Stadium.

The Mariners and Victory last squared-off in round 7 of this season-s A-League, playing out a pulsating 2-2 draw at a raucous Etihad Stadium.

Saturday-s meeting promises to be another entertaining affair, with two of the form teams and top coaches of the competition going head-to-head in front of what-s expected to be a strong Tasmanian attendance.

While every game in the Hyundai A-League is crucial, Saturday-s fixture will take on extra meaning for the Mariners as a Club. Indeed the yellow and navy will become the first franchise to play 200 A-League matches.

Moreover, midfield whiz Michael McGlinchey – who celebrated his 26th birthday yesterday – is set to make his 100th Hyundai A-League appearance for the Club. The Mariners will present McGlinchey with a memento of this achievement prior to their next home game at Gosford-s Bluetongue Stadium against Newcastle Jets on Saturday 19 January 2013.

Gun central defender Trent Sainsbury will miss the clash with Victory due to suspension after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign away to Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday.
