So when it gets breached four times in 90 minutes – as it did against Adelaide – it cuts deep.
Needless to say it has been a big focus this week & will be our main priority as the games come thick & fast over the Christmas-New Year period.
Hopefully by the time you read this we will have bounced back from our surprising result away to Adelaide with a positive reaction against Wellington on Thursday night.
As has become customary for this time of year, the games come along quick and fast.
Whilst most of our fans will be kicking back and relaxing during the festive season, the players will be working around the clock to ensure they are doing everything possible to provide you all with even more reason to be happy during this busy time.
This Monday sees us travel to Parramatta for what-s set to be a thrilling clash against the Wanderers. Highlighted by the 2013 Hyundai A-League Grand Final, the Mariners and Wanderers have built up a fantastic rivalry over the past 18 months, and another thrilling instalment will be played out at Pirtek Stadium next week.
Our clash with the Wanderers will then be followed by our traditional New Year’s Eve event against Perth Glory at Bluetongue. Kick-off is at 6:00pm and a fireworks display above the Brisbane Water will follow the game at 9:00pm!
These games always provide a great opportunity for our fans to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another by combining a great nights entertainment both on and off the field.
We hope to see you all at Bluetongue Stadium on New Year’s Eve to cheer on the team and we wish you all very happy Christmas.
