The first edition for this season wasn’t the greatest game but showed early signs of the decline of GVE. Up 2-0 they should have put us to the sword but we stormed home to get a point and oddly enough were unlucky not to take all three.
Derbies are usually bruising affairs and with the dramas they have had this week we can expect them to come out early doors looking to stamp some authority on the game.
Our last outing produced one of our best performances of the season and signs look good that we are slowly getting back to the form we have been spoilt with for the last few seasons.
With January moving into the latter part it’s going to be interesting to see if Mossy decides to bring in some replacements to cover the losses of Mikey (McGlinchey) and (Marcos) Flores. Much has been made of the need and after losing out on bringing (Tom) Rogic back the coaching staff certainly have their work cut out if they do chose to delve into the market.
