Our huge Onside With The Mariners Charity Round Double Header is now just days away, here you can find out more about the three Central Coast-based charities that are supporting this round, and the region.
Sunday’s Double Header is one of the biggest days on the Mariners calendar, as we take on Perth Glory (3pm kick off) in the Isuzu UTE A-League before facing Brisbane Roar in a crucial Ninja A-League clash (5:45pm kick-off).
It is to be made even more special with our Charity Round Partners; We Care, Health on the Streets and Coast Shelter in attendance, with fans able to meet and chat with volunteers.
We are also still welcoming physical donations at the Onside With The Mariners donation station in Erina Fair (near Rebel Sport and the Customer Service Desk), where we have already collected hundreds of donations.

On partnering with the Mariners for Onside With The Mariners Round, now CEO Klarkowski said:
“One of our core values is taking direct action to address the day to day impact of childhood poverty. The Onside with the Mariners match is a clear example of the Mariners community taking direct action to address the disadvantage that over 10,000 children on the Coast face.
“We can respond by showing families doing it tough that there is a community that cares and responds by generously donating to support kids facing domestic violence and homelessness”.
Health on the Streets
Health on the Streets provides physical and mental healthcare to vulnerable and homeless people along the Central Coast, with services ranging from vaccinations and screening to dental and spectacle referrals, plus much more, all delivered via a mobile van staffed by healthcare professionals and outreach workers.
The Mariners have previously collaborated with Health on the Streets, making a large donation as part of the Christmas campaign, as well as over-arching Charity Coast and Country Primary Care.
CCPC CEO Kathy Beverley says the charity is ‘honoured’ to be working with the Mariners again for Onside With The Mariners Charity Round.
“We are honoured to be chosen as a charity partner for the Central Coast Mariners’ Onside with the Mariners charity event. This partnership highlights the importance of breaking barriers to healthcare access for the most vulnerable in our community.
“Through our partnership with the Central Coast Mariners, we hope to raise awareness and support to continue delivering life-changing care. Every dollar donated helps us keep our mobile clinic on the streets, ensuring no one is left without access to essential healthcare.”
Coast Shelter
In the last 30 years, Gosford-based Coast Shelter has grown to be one of the leading not-for-profit organisations, now with ten specialist homelessness services on the Central Coast.
Coast Shelter aim to tackle homelessness and poverty as well as domestic and family violence, with services such as crisis accommodation and outreach properties to males, females, children and youth across the Central Coast.
Their Community Centres providing free meals and access to financial, medical and personal support services.
On Coast Shelter’s involvement in the Onside With The Mariners Charity Round, Coast Shelter CEO, Lee Shearer said:
“The support of the Central Coast Mariners and their fans will make a real difference in delivering critical services to our community members facing homelessness and domestic and family violence.
“Every donation and every conversation sparked by this initiative helps us provide safe shelter, essential resources, and life-changing support to those in crisis.
This is a perfect example of the power of community in action – when we come together, we can create lasting change for the most vulnerable among us.”
