Graham Arnold-s team currently lead Ange Postecoglou-s outfit by six points, however both sides will be looking to return to winning ways having suffered defeats to Perth Glory and Western Sydney Wanderers respectively at the weekend.

On Saturday, the yellow and navy fell 2-1 to Perth Glory in Western Australia. Bernie Ibini-s early goal at nib Stadium was cancelled out by Travis Dodd mid-way through the first 45, before Shane Smeltz-s second half strike secured all three points for Alistair Edwards- men.

Earlier on Saturday, Connor Pain-s late goal proved to be a mere consolation as Melbourne Victory were beaten 2-1 at AAMI Park by Tony Popovic-s Wanderers. Italian utility Iacopo La Rocca and Japanese ace Shinji Ono scored for Western Sydney.

This will be the third and final time in the regular season that the Mariners will go head-to-head with Melbourne Victory. So far this campaign the teams have played out two entertaining draws.

In round 7, a Daniel McBreen double was matched by goals to Andrew Nabbout and Mark Milligan. In round 16, a coolly taken McBreen penalty cancelled our Marcos Flores- clinical first half strike.
