That will be the first of 12 matches at Central Coast Stadium for the regular season, and Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp said the taste of the atmosphere at Family Day on Saturday has everyone at the club excited for the new season to get underway.

“Tickets going on sale means we are another step closer to the season starting, and all of us at the club just can’t wait to get into the new season,” Mielekamp said.

“It was nice to be back in front of the fans on Saturday at Family Day, and I know that the boys loved the atmosphere and are keen for that a lot more this season.”

“Central Coast Stadium is our ‘Paradise’ and although we play where the otherss holiday, maximising our home ground advantage is core to a successful season.

This is where we need everyone to grab one of the best seats for entertainment on the Coast and be there at Central Coast Stadium as much as they can.”

The Mariners will return to Mudgee this year, hitting the road West in round four of the new season, to take on reigning Champions Western United on Saturday, 29th October at Glen Willow Sporting Complex.

The visit to Mudgee will be a welcome return for the boys, after success in both the Australia Cup and the league last season at the same venue, and Mielekamp said he is looking forward to the occasion when the club travels West again.

“It’s exciting to be taking another game out to Mudgee this season after the success and support we had out there last campaign,” Mielekamp said on earlier this week.

“We’ve worked closely with Mid-Western Regional Council since our first conversations, and I want to thank them for the work they have put in to help this happen.”

“Mudgee is fast becoming a home away from home for us and this beautiful regional town is one that plenty of members and fans are circling in the calendar for a well-deserved short break with the family and friends.”
