CENTRAL Coast Mariners will pay their respects to former Western Sydney Wanderers media manager Rod Allen before the Club-s 2013 AFC Champions League match against China-s Guizhou Renhe in Gosford tomorrow evening.

Allen, well known and highly regarded in the football community for his work with Football Federation Australia, the Qantas Socceroos and more recently Western Sydney Wanderers, tragically passed away at the weekend.

The Mariners will hold a moment-s silence before kick-off in its game against Guizhou, and wear black armbands throughout the Group H fixture.

Central Coast Mariners Head Coach, Graham Arnold, worked with Allen at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and said the Club wanted to offer their condolences to his family and friends.

“Rod Allen was a great guy and was extremely well regarded in the football community. We-d like to take the opportunity in our game against Guizhou to honour him.”
