Mariners boys and mens academy prepare for Sydney trip

The Central Coast Mariners men’s and boy’s academy sides are back this weekend, with every side travelling to Sydney for massive matches on Saturday.

Our under 13’s through to under 18’s teams face Blacktown City across both Laden Stadium and Blacktown City Sports Centre.

First grade and the under 20’s takes on NWS Spirit FC at Christie Park, looking to bounce back after losses last weekend. First grade kick off at 5:30pm and the under 20’s scheduled for 7:30pm.

First Grade vs NWS Spirit

The Central Coast Mariners NPL men’s first grade side are looking to secure their first win of the season this weekend, travelling to face off against NWS Spirit FC on Saturday afternoon.

Our match against Blacktown City last Saturday was a spirited effort by all, going down 1-0 in an incredibly close game to last year’s champions.

NWS Spirit currently sit in sixth place after four rounds, coming off the back of wins against Bulls FC and Blacktown.

The side suffered their first loss of the season last weekend, going down 1-0 to Sutherland Sharks away from home.

With kick-off scheduled for 5:30pm on Saturday in Sydney, expect a close contest with both sides pushing for victory. Watch the game live and free on NPL.tv.

Under 20’s vs NWS Spirit

The Mariners under 20’s are looking to get back to winning ways this weekend, after a tight 2-1 loss to Blacktown City last Saturday.

Despite looking the better of the two sides for periods of the match we couldn’t score what would have been a deserved equaliser.

The side currently sit in ninth place, holding a record of two wins and two losses.

Our opponents NWS Spirit FC currently sit in 15th place, collecting just a solitary point this year.

That came against Sutherland last weekend, following losses to Blacktown, St George and Bulls FC Academy.

Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30pm, directly after the first grade match.

Junior Boys vs Blacktown City

After going undefeated over last weekend the junior boys academy is back this Saturday, taking on Blacktown City.

The first match of the day is the under 13’s kicking off at 8:30am, with the under 14’s scheduled for a 10:05am start.

Under 15’s begin at 11:40am, while the under 16’s kick off just after lunch at 1:15pm.

The under 18’s will round out the afternoon at 3pm, looking to pick up their first win of the season.
