The Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce that Andre Gumprecht has returned to the club as the Technical Director of our JDL (Junior Development Leagues) Program.
First arriving on the Coast at the beginning of our inaugural campaign, he made 63 A-League appearances across four seasons in Yellow and Navy.
Since retiring from professional football, Gumprecht immediately stepped into coaching, earning his qualifications while also gaining valuable hands-on experience.
An AFC A licenced coach as well as a Football Australia Skill Acquisition specialist, Gumprecht will now run our JDL Program for both our boys and girls as Technical Director.
Central Coast Mariners Sporting Director Matt Simon is delighted to be able to welcome Andre back to the club.
“We are thrilled to have Andre return to the Mariners as the Technical Director of our JDL Program,” Simon said.
“He will bring a wealth of experience both on and off the field to the role, as well as a passion and drive that will take our Program across both boys and girls to the next level.”
Our new JDL Technical Director is excited to get started ahead of what promises to be a huge Academy season.
“I am really pleased to be back with the Mariners. Being the Technical Director of our JDL program is a role that I am super excited to have at this great club, I am extremely passionate about football, and I want to pass on my experiences and help develop both our junior players and also importantly our coaches,” Gumprecht said.
“They are the next generation of Mariner, and it is crucial that they are given the opportunity to grow here on the Coast. An important goal for us as a club is to develop more players and I look forward to playing my part in that.”
