The Central Coast Mariners can confirm the departure of Dylan Wenzel-Halls, with the forward leaving the club to pursue overseas footballing opportunities.
The 26-year-old joined the Mariners midway through the 22/23 Isuzu UTE A-League season and was a part of our 18-man Grand Final squad that defeated Melbourne City 6-1.
At the start of our treble-winning 23/24 season, Wenzel-Halls netted the first goal of the Mark Jackson era at the Mariners as he opened the scoring in our record-breaking 9-1 win over Stallion Laguna.
In is 18-month spell on the Coast, Wenzel-Halls made 12 appearances and scored three goals, whilst winning four trophies at the club.
Central Coast Mariners Head Coach Mark Jackson thanked Dylan for his contributions and his ‘exemplary attitude’.
“We’d like to thank Dylan for his contribution to the club. He showed an exemplary attitude in all the work he did, particularly last season as part of the treble winning squad,” Jackson said.
“Everyone at the club wishes him all the best for the future.”
Dylan says he will cherish his ‘unbelievable’ memories at the Mariners, in a thoughtful departing message.
“I would like to thank the Mariners fans, players and staff for all of the support across the past 2 years,” he said.
“I have made unbelievable memories and friendships at this club, and I am appreciative of all my time spent on the Central Coast, most notably being a part of the treble-winning season which was an incredible achievement that I will always cherish.
“I wish the club and the fans all the best going forward.”
