JUST three players have donned the number six jersey for Central Coast Mariners in the Hyundai A-League.

JUST three players have donned the number six jersey for Central Coast Mariners in the Hyundai A-League.

Currently, the kit is word by Dutch defender Patrick Zwaanswijk, who after two sound seasons with the Club was yesterday announced as the Mariners- new Vice-Captain.

The first player to wear the number six strip was Andre Gumprecht.

Gumprecht played for the Mariners for three campaigns, winning a place in the hearts of the yellow and navy faithful for his midfield toil and talent.

The much-loved Gumprecht managed 63 Hyundai A-League appearances for the Club.

David D-Apuzzo is the other player to have turned out for Central Coast with six on his shirt.

D-Apuzzo – brother of current Western Sydney Wanderers utility Adam D-Apuzzo – played ten times for the Mariners over two seasons.
