COMMUNITY: Mariners support The Glen

Central Coast Mariners are happy to throw their support behind The Glen, a long-term male specific residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program based at Chittaway Point.

The Glen has been located on the Central Coast for over 20 years and has helped over 3,000 men who suffer from substance abuse problems. The program focuses on providing a holistic approach that treats drug and alcohol problems and also deals with the issues that contribute to this behaviour.

The Mariners have offered their support to the program with ‘The Glen Boys’ given the opportunity to see the yellow and navy in action, as well as meet and greet sessions with some of Central Coast’s stars.

The Glen CEO, Joe Coyte, said: “The Glen is proud to work closely with and support the Central Coast Mariners, who have helped put the region on the map over the last 10 years.”

“Sport is an important part of The Glen program. It helps develop team-building skills, is a way to get some physical health back, shows how to have fun without drugs and alcohol, and provides a common interest to re-connect.”

“The Glen is grateful for our outstanding relationship with the Central Coast Mariners and thank them for their support. We are very proud to be able to support this club.”
