Christian Theoharous signs contract extension with the Mariners

Central Coast Mariners are delighted to confirm that Christian Theoharous has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

The 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League campaign will be the 25-year-old’s fourth season on the Coast, after arriving in January 2023.

His first two seasons with the club saw him contribute to back-to-back A-League Championships, as well as our historic treble win in 2023/24.

Last season, Christian surpassed 50 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances for the club, whilst he has played 83 games in total, scoring six goals – which he is keen to add to in 2025/26.

Widely regarded as one of the most talented attacking players in the A-League on his day, we are looking forward to seeing Christian out there in Yellow and Navy again this season.

Head Coach Mark Jackson is happy to have someone of Christian’s ability re-signed for the upcoming season.

“It is great for the club to have Christian resigned for another season.” Jacko said.

“His experience and ability will be vital in the coming season, and he will be ready to have a big impact on the team.”

Christian also commented after committing to the club:

“I’m very happy to have signed for another season with the Mariners,” he said.

“As a group, everyone is determined to push forward after last season, and I am looking forward to playing my part in that.

“I can’t wait to see the fans at Our Paradise again next month,” he added.
