Bianca Galic departs Central Coast Mariners

Central Coast Mariners can today confirm the departure of Bianca Galic, as she moves on to another opportunity upon the expiry of her contract.

Galic joined the Mariners ahead of our return season on a two-year contract, as Emily Husband showed faith in the midfielder, who she had worked with previously, despite her missing the 2022/23 campaign through injury.

She more than repaid that faith. A hard-working, reliable and consistent performer over her two years with the Mariners, Bianca leaves as our record A-League Women’s appearance holder with 42.

As vice-captain, Galic wore the armband on a number of occasions, deputising for her friend and captain Taren King, throughout her lengthy injury.

In our return season, Galic was the only player to start every single A-League fixture and that consistency saw her win a historic award at the 2024 Mariners Medal Dinner, taking away the first ever Women’s Mariners Medal as well as the 2023/24 Goal of the Season for a long-range strike in Perth.

Galic enjoyed further incredible on-field moments with the Mariners in 2024-25, none more so than her decisive shoot-out penalty against Melbourne Victory, to clinch our first ever A-League Women’s Championship. With that, her name will be etched in Mariners history forever.

Everyone at the Mariners thanks Bianca for her efforts, and wishes her all the best for her future endeavours.

2025/26 Squad Updates

We will confirm further updates to our 2025-26 Ninja A-League Squad in due course, as we remain in contract discussions with several players as well as continuing the hiring process for a new Head Coach to lead our Ninja A-League Championship defence.
