The Central Coast Mariners can confirm forward Annalise Rasmussen will depart the club for Italian giants, Juventus in a women’s club-record transfer fee.
The 20 year old is a proud graduate of the Central Coast Mariners’ Academy system, making her senior debut for the club in the 2023/24 season, making 61 appearances and scoring 18 goals during her time in the Ninja A-League.
The Gosford-born local, Rasmussen, has represented her country at under-23 level, playing a role with the Australian side that won the 2025 ASEAN Women’s Championship in Vietnam. The striker, who was the club’s first signing before rejoining the A-League in 2023, currently sits equal top of the Golden Boot standings in the league, having found the back of the net eleven times in fourteen matches this season.Â
Central Coast Mariners Sporting Director, Matt Simon said it was another proud moment for the Club to have an Academy graduate make the move to one of the top European Clubs.
“While we’re sad to see Annalise depart the Mariners, this is an exciting opportunity for yet another Central Coast Mariners’ Academy graduate to not only progress her career in Europe, but have exposure on the global stage with a club like Juventus,” Simon said.
“Annalise has shown incredible hard work, determination and a will to win in her time with the Mariners and her hunger and desire to be better every day sets a fantastic example to her team mates and all of the young girls and boys coming through our system on the Central Coast.”
“Our commitment to developing the next generation of Australian footballers is unwavering, and it’s opportunities like this, that continues to drive us at the Club to produce first-class footballers but more importantly, top-class people to represent the Mariners in our Academy, first teams and on the international stage.”
“We have no doubt that Annalise will make everyone proud during her time abroad and wish her the best of luck in her next chapter as a footballer.”
Rasmussen was also grateful for her time at the Mariners from her start at the club as an eleven year old junior to the 2025 Ninja A-League Championship.
“I would like to thank everyone involved in my journey at the Club and I’m looking forward to making everyone proud in this new, exciting journey for me,” Rasmussen said.
“This is an incredible opportunity to test myself against the world’s best and I want to do everything I can to make my family, friends and the Central Coast proud.”
“While I won’t be with the girls for the rest of the season, I’ll be following them from Europe and hoping they can defend the Championship we worked so hard for last season.”
The undisclosed transfer fee is the Club’s record transfer fee for a women’s player and sits in the top five Ninja A-League transfer fees in the competition’s history.
Rasmussen departs the club after Friday night’s brace against Brisbane Roar as she joins the Juventus for their current Serie A campaign, where Juve sit third, and the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 16 where the Bianconere face Wolfsburg in the final 16.
